Everyone who has played games for a while will know that Miss Croft is right up there with Master Chief, Captain Price and Diablo when it comes to being a gaming icon. The Tomb Raider games were spectacular back in the day; it had an attractive female protagonist who made your jaw drop with her athletics and dual pistol wielding. Tomb Raider though, is not that.

Slow-cruising on one of the most notorious dirt roads in all the country, the 113 kilometre stretch on the R355 between Touws Rivier and Calvinia starts to feel like a pilgrimage as the sun turns red; the distant hills stretch out far beyond the horizon and the dust permeates every inch of our surroundings.

Army of Two is unfortunately one of the less known franchises in gaming. It boasts great co-op gameplay and is known for its wide variety of customization of one’s character. The Devil’s Cartel is the third iteration of the franchise and is set in Mexico, taking a substantial step away from its predecessors in gameplay and features.

The Ballistic Blues EP launch was a vibrant and electric experience. The band fused old school rock with authentic blues that kept the audience wanting more, and Aandklas was packed to celebrate the release of their self-titled 5-track EP. It was an event that represented SA’s new culture wonderfully.
