Proposed new regulations create offences for cyclists

STUDENT cyclists have until 24 May to comment on the recently drafted regulations for the safety of road cyclists in the Western Cape. According to the Western Cape Ministry of Transport and Public Works “failure of a driver or a cyclist to adhere to any provision of the regulations will be an offence and will be liable to a fine if found guilty”.
